 Moose Jaw Physical Rehabilitation has been providing health care and rehabilitation to the city of Moose Jaw for over 10 years. Located in the Hilcrest Health Building on Thatcher Dr., MJPR has developed a strong relationship with the community and our company has always put the needs of our clients first.

 

Our staff is fully qualified and ready to help you make a transition in your life - to move beyond that injury, beyond that hurdle to a healthy life...

Moose Jaw Physical Rehabilitation offers a wide variety of services including physical therapy, massage therapy, exercise programs and prescription, and acupuncture. We strive to provide our clients with the best possible care. Whether you have a work, motor vehicle, sport or any other kind of injury, our professional and friendly staff is here to assist you in your recovery.

 

Our mission is to provide healing and quality care, to assist in the management and control of pain and to help clients regain function. Whether it’s through physical therapy, exercise therapy, massage or education, we believe in full spectrum treatment that prevents further injury, not just fixes the symptoms.

Bill Elliot

I’m the clinic business manager of Moose Jaw Physical Rehabilitation. I’m involved with the administration of the clinic as well as occupational testing. I’m a certified fitness instructor, obtained a diploma of Business Admn from U of Regina as well I’m a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). I’m a director with ehealth, HillCrest Health and previously director of Moose Jaw YMCA.

My passion is running completing 27 marathons, including Boston and New York.

Myla Morales

Myla is a traditionally trained and licensed Physical Therapist with over 28 years of experience. She is a patient-directed practitioner with broad exposure in treating musculoskeletal conditions including pre and post- operative rehabilitation, work, motor vehicle and sports related injuries. She also has specialized training and interests in the treatment of Pelvic Health, Vestibular System (vertigo/dizziness),  TMJ dysfunctions and chronic pain conditions. Other certifications include Spinal Care Pathway and Matheson System for functional ability and capacity evaluations to assist with return to ADL’s and work. Myla has been the clinic manager at MJPR since its doors opened in January 2001.

Trish Smith

Trish graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 2005.  Having worked in both public and private sectors, she’s gained clinical experience in a variety of areas. Her clinical focus has been in orthopedics since 2009.  Trish is a certified Saskatchewan Spinal Pathway provider, trained in Matheson functional testing, and has completed Level 3 within the Advanced Orthopedic Manual & Manipulative Physiotherapy course system.  She is credentialled in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Assessment and Treatment (MDT) and is passionate about using MDT to educate and empower her patients in their rehabilitation. Trish continues to take courses to expand her knowledge base for her practice.  Outside of work, Trish enjoys exercising and staying active with her husband and two young children.

Alison Thomson

Alison has been working as a Physical Therapist for 33 years in a variety of health care settings.  She draws upon her work and life experience in her approach to holistic care of her patients.  She is excited to have incorporated acupuncture into her practice because it works!  

 

Alison is semi-retired and enjoys playing the piano and flute, swimming, writing poems and touring our beautiful country from coast to coast with her husband and little dog in their travel trailer.

Julie Johnstone

Julie is the newest member of the MJ Physical Rehabilitation team, working at the front desk as a receptionist. She enjoy's working and being able to help people  in the Clinic. Her favorite thing to do in her free time is run, competing in over 15 marathons across Saskatchewan over the years. Come meet her at the MJ Physical Therapy department at Hillcrest Health or she may see you running on the trails. She would be more than happy to help you book an appointment with one of our Therapists.

Brenna Duckworth

Brenna has been an MTAS Certified Massage Therapist for 7 years, working at this clinic for the past five years. she offers deep tissue or relaxation massage as well as Cupping.

she enjoys being active and spending time with her two kids, laughing and joking around.
